The objective for this scoresheet is to be able to recontruct the game by looking at the scoresheet. It sounds really complicated. But in essence it is much easier than it sounds if you understand a few basics. You will need the Circle Sheets filled out by the coaches to start the sheets properly.
The main trick is to make sure the players are listed in order of serve. You see this below. QAS will be serving first, so St. SImon's first server is actually in position 2 at the beginning of the game.
Grades 5 and 6
Proper scorekeeping is shown below.
It looks really complicated, but in fact it is very simple.
Every new player that is enters the game is added below the original six players.
The first server for QAS scored a point and then there was a sideout
And the first server for St. Simon received their sideout point, scored a point and then there was a sideout
Grades 7 and 8
Proper scorekeeping is shown below.
It looks really complicated, but in fact it is very simple.
The first server for QAS scored a point and then there was a sideout
And the first server for St. Simon received their sideout point, scored a point and then there was a sideout
After a sideout for point 14 for QAS, both teams made a substitution. QAS had #29 replace #5 and St. SImon had #2 replace #6.
And it just keeps going from there. So not nearly as complicated as it appeared.
